Terms of Use

1. Parties and Scope

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern the legal relationship between DateChef ("the App", "we", "us") and individuals who use the app ("User", "you"), effective as of April 11, 2025.

2. Account Requirements

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
• You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and up to date.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and must not share your password with anyone.
• One person may create only one account.

3. Acceptable Use

You may use the app only for lawful purposes and in compliance with the following rules:

• Respect the rights of others
• Do not post content that is defamatory, harassing or constitutes hate speech
• Do not publish materials that infringe copyright
• Do not create fake accounts or impersonate others
• Do not use the app via spam or automated bots
• Do not attempt to exploit security vulnerabilities

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• Free Plan: A limited number of monthly recipes (including personal and partner cooking sessions).
• DateChef+ Plan: Increased monthly recipe quota and premium features.
• MasterChef+ Plan: Unlimited recipes and all premium features.

Payment Terms

• Payments are processed through the App Store (Apple) or Google Play.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.
• You must cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Due to the nature of digital content, the refund policy is subject to App Store / Google Play terms.

5. User Content

Photos, comments and recipes you share through the app ("Content") remain your property. However, you grant us the following license rights:

You grant the technical permissions necessary to display, store and present your content to other users within the app. We will never sell your content to third parties for commercial purposes.

The following content is strictly prohibited:

• Explicit sexual or obscene material
• Content that defames real individuals or violates their privacy
• Materials that infringe the intellectual property rights of third parties
• Harmful or dangerous recipe suggestions

6. AI-Powered Recipes

DateChef uses Google Gemini / Vertex AI technology for recipe suggestions. Please note:

• Generated recipes are general suggestions; they are not professional dietitian advice.
• We recommend consulting a specialist for food allergies or medical conditions.
• AI may occasionally produce inaccurate or impractical suggestions; we accept no liability in such cases.

7. Partner Feature

Two users can invite each other as "Partners" within the app and share co-cooking flows. A partnership can be ended at any time. Partner content is visible to both parties.

8. Limitation of Liability

DateChef accepts no liability for:

• Health issues that may arise from AI-generated recipe suggestions
• Damages arising from content shared by users with third parties
• Data loss caused by internet disconnection or server outages
• Issues resulting from a user's neglect of account security

9. Account Suspension and Termination

If you violate these terms, your account may be suspended or permanently closed without prior notice. You can submit an account deletion request through the settings screen or by emailing vibeofone@gmail.com.

10. Intellectual Property

The app name, logo, design, code and all original content belong to DateChef and are protected by copyright law. Unauthorized copying, distribution or modification is prohibited.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Disputes will be resolved through appropriate legal proceedings.

12. Changes

We reserve the right to modify these Terms. For significant changes, we will notify you at least 30 days in advance via an in-app notification or email. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
